Fightingseabee: Welcome home and thanks for serving.

One bit of advice. Keep contact with your buddies.
I spent thirteen months in Vietnam 1965,1966. Came home
served two years in active reserve outfit, two more years inactive.

Then, I forgot about anything military for the next long while.
Raising family, work, local emt, and fireman. a couple of years after I
retired from mechanic job started to try find guys from the outfit .. We
went over as a unit from Ft. Bliss, Texas. One of the guys from Kentucky that I remembered had been working on reunion a little bit. Then, we were able to obtain a morning roster from about a week before we shipped out. That made it a lot easier to find the guys.
We have had five reunions so far.... Great time had by all..... usually 23 to25 guys and the wives attend..........

So, would recommend keep some contact even if you don't have reunions till a later time...........

Yeah! Welcome home!:D Hope you get rehabilitated quickly! That's the term used on us Korea vets.

Your garage looks like a challenge even for a Seabee:rolleyes: Best Wishes!!!

thanks for all of the welcome homes, I didn't realize there were so many vets on here. it is really good to be home. I surprised my boys on Tuesday, they didn't know I was back in town yet. and I have done a whole lot of not much this week but I will have to get to it soon.

Welcome home and thanks for all you gave up and risked for the rest of us. It took me a while to get used to civilian life as I'm sure it will you too. So, just relax, take your time and enjoy those boys for a while. Good luck with cleaning the shop.

Welcome back from one sailor to another, tho my Navy days was a while back (Vietnam)
