Pork Chop Misalignment

Thanks for all the imput, I will try and bend the legs so that the quadrant is more centered on the control sheave and install Bill's bolt upgrade.

I only recommend centering the quadrant on the worm gear by very careful bending of the legs. The speed control assembly and legs along with the quadrant is cast from an alloy (pot?) metal and can crack, fracture or break if this is not done slowly and carefully. I have some unique tools for this type of work. Just do not hammer away. The alignment of the quadrant to the Control Sheave bearing button is a given from the headstock casing and drilling of the Speed Control Assembly screw holes. As long as the button rides on the spring steel metal piece of the quadrant, you are good.
