Well the new PP upgrade is done and working. WAY different that the older motor. I tested it by running some 2x6 though the table saw pretty hard, and no issues at all.

As far as the DIY process, it can be a little tricky. The big problem I had was the twist pin on the quill spring broke. I tried several different attempts to insert something else and secure it with JB weld, and all had failed. I ended up drilling and threading the hole and custom making pin to catch the spring. (lost 4 hours there)

Templare for drilling worked fine, however enlarging the hole for the cord ended up with a little issue. The plastic fan housing makes installing the cord relief part very difficult. So try to enlarge towards the rear of the case as much as you can to help with that.

While it was apart I polished the locks so they ride very smoothly on the way tubes and really slide well.

Yea!!! You certainly had a fun time "Savoring" the process:)
