Ignore List
When I use the ignore list which I seldom do, I don't see an ignored member's posts when I look at a thread; but when an ignored member replies to a thread I am subscribed to, I get an email that contains the content of the ignored member's usually off topic post. I also see the ignored member's post when another member quotes the ignored member's post again not often but an irritant nonetheless. Is there a way to avoid getting an email notification of ignored member's posts to a thread I am otherwise subscribed to and not seeing quotes of ignored member's posts? I suspect the answer is "no" unless their is some kind of option for the admin to flip a switch.

I can't answer your question. In fact, I can't relate to your description of what happens.
I have an "Ignore List" but I never get an email related to any of the names on that list. I can only assume that no one on my "Ignore List" is ever inclined to send me an email.
If I ever attempt to open a post that was initiated by someone on my "Ignore List", I am given an opportunity to view that post but I must chose to do so.
Most of the entries in my "Ignore List" are for posters that I have determined to be spam. When I identify spammers to Admin, I usually find that they bother me NO MORE. I think that what I am posting here now is a restatement of that.
Admin does a great job keeping this site clean.

Dusty it isn't that ignored persons are emailing me; the forum sends me automatic notifications by email of new posts in threads I subscribe to and those notifications include the full text of the new post, including posts of the very few people I have on my ignore list. Agree admin does a good job keeping the site free from spammers. Nevertheless there are a very few posters whose polemics I prefer not to read so I put them on my ignore list. I'd just like to see that function carry across to email notifications and quotes.

I don't know about this with any level of certainty but this snip of my Options may reveal a related difference on how we are setup.

Yes we are set up differently. I am set up to automatically subscribe to any thread I post in. I generally enjoy getting notifications of new posts rather than continually checking threads of interest for new posts; however the downside is that the ignore list function doesn't carry over to notifications.
