Tennis Elbow from my Shopsmith ???

Apparently all of this construction and taking apart and putting together of my Shopsmiths I have developed Tennis Elbow. Can that be considered workers comp ? It says it could take up to 6 weeks to get better. Have a brace on it and feels better. Tried hot and cold not much difference. I've got two greenies and a 10ER to put back together. I don't even play Tennis ! Man getting older SUCKS

How about "getting older is GREAT cause it beats the alternative, but FEELING OLDER SUCKS"

Amen to that, the wonderful sensations of aging, that is, as opposed to the alternative! I'll happily put up with the aches and pains and quite agree with your sentiments.

Many of us understand. I certainly do. I've turned to "working in bursts".'

If I could put in about three hard weeks, like the good ole days, doing what needs to be done to recommission the RV - it would be done. At my current progress rate, next Thanksgiving is pressing it hard.

Jerry, time to get rid of the Cast Iron stuff. What you need, is more cast aluminum. (Send the Cast Iron to me, you've got my address.):D

Seriously, just go slow. I don't have elbow issues, (Well, not much. If I pick up too many #10 cans at work, my right elbow is out of commission for months.) But I do have a pinched sciatic (left) nerve, and an arthritic (right) knee. And, soon, both ankles will have visits from my new roommate, Arthur Ritis. (Scumbucket drinks all my beer, and leaves ME with the hangover!):D

Plantars fasciitis crept up on my feet because I was standing too much at the bandsaw and sanding on a concrete floor. Some inserts coming from the VA. Not sure how much that will cost, but will be investing in a foam matt to stand on just as soon as I can get back up. It's a real pain in the seat to not be on my feet.

The cheap foam squares from horror freight are REALLY good. I stacked two layers on top of each other for places I'm standing often, you can do one layer but my high archers love the double layer.

You can pick up a package of inserts that are designed just for this condition from your local drug store. I put inserts in every shoe I own, even my slippers and that took care of the problem after about 3 months of healing.

At present I can not blame my shopsmiths for any injuries.

I can blame my wonderlust for the shoulder pain I'm now having. Had to climb that ridge to see what might be worth photographing never mind I didn't have boots on. I was with in two steps of the top when I fell, saving the camera was more critical then saving my body.... The camera came away fine, me not so fine.

That was weeks ago and it is taking its sweet time getting better. I had the same problem back a few years with my left side, it took months to get back to normal. Now with this being on my favored right side I'm having trouble resting it. I've given up my efforts in the garage despite the addition of a heater this year nothing is happening due to my arm.

I'm really not one for setting around doing nothing, so I keep busy which is counter to what I really should be doing, which is doing nothing. Anyway my computer time is up for now. Wonder what if anything is good to watch on TV....

At least in my case my shopsmiths are not responsible for any of this.
