Chuck key sizes

Post by freedomlives »

Last year I got off ebay a Jacobs chuck for my Mark V. It didn't come with a key. For a while I just used the sort of fitting keys I had around for other things. Being in Slovakia, the local hardware store had a zillion chucks, but none really fitting. The Jacobs site didn't have any cross reference for the number on the chuck, but I did find the website of a U.S. drill chuck maker with cross references to Jacobs chucks and key sizes:
http://lfausa.com/reichel_1.html

I have this page saved on my computer in case the original ever gets taken down.

The key I ordered based on this fit my chuck perfectly.

It is good that yuou have found a chuck key. Which one did you find to fit. I suspect it was the T5 (MC3326) that works.
