Cutting tenons & mortises

For the glass-panel door I am making for the wine glass cabinet, the door design has tenons (and mortises) that are not symmetrical.

Uses the tip on this forum to use the stop collar in the horizontal mode, I modified my SS tenon master to allow me to butt against the stop collar in a repeatable way. I can now change the location of the tenon master within less than 1/64 of an inch to creep up on the desired dimension.

Squared off the mounted wood block since there is a slight taper at the end of the tenon master

Hmmmm! A seed has sprouted! A 32 pitch screw gives 1/128"/quarter turn.

Hmm, so 10 x 32 screw, full turn, is 1/32". Not being a machinist, it never dawned on me that the second number is actually threads per inch. The light breaks:D Never too old...

Logical thinking strikes again!

Metrics the same(almost, pitch, not threads/distance - i.e. reciprical).

That is mm/thread rather than threads/inch.

I don't have a tenon master and am not familiar how it works.

Can you give us a little more detailed explanation?

But what I am trying to remove is the 'cut and tried' method by eyeball. With the stop collar, I can measure how far to move and then move the tenon jig exactly. One cut rather than several.
