10ER Shopsmith
Finally have time to get at restoring my shopsmith 10er
As always taken down to bare metal as no primer was used in painting these.
Used metal prep or evaporust for bare or rusted metal to neutralize any rust or metal,
cold zinc compound so rust can not bleed thru.
Etching primer, then on to painting.
Really enjoying restoring this Shopsmith for the basic design and reliability

Shopsmith 10 er
I have double because, I had one given to me incomplete.
And bought another with the other parts to finish it.
Still would like to find how to convert a tread mill DC motor to work on the 10 er?
How to find a V pulley that will fit on the shaft of the DC motor?
BIG THANKS to all the people willing to share their knowledge, and info!!

As already noted, I have not done this.
But as an attempt to answer your ?, start with the 'treadmill'. What controls the speed there. Either use that 'stuff', or recreate it.
The motor will have a shaft that connects to the treadmill drive. You would need a pulley that fits that shaft.
Without more specific input, I cannot create more specific answers.
