Just saying THANKS!

Post by benush26 »

As I was reading some of the posts I realized how much I appreciate this specific forum. Not just for the content, but for the people.

As I get older than dirt I have come to a personal epiphany that my purpose is to learn all that I can and to teach that which others ask to know. I believe that last part is where I get (maybe got) in trouble (at least where my past is concerned). In my eagerness to show "what I know", I forget to place my ego behind. By teaching what I am asked, I honor the true request of the person asking and model behavior which might serve future generations.

There are a few other forums where this "ideal" (at least my idea of ideal), occasionally shows, but more are inclined to raise their hands and scream (metaphorically), PICK ME, PICK ME. That seems to be the exception here.

Those I have learned from on this site show wisdom, eagerness and respect.

So, while I have the chance, Thank you!

Be well,
Ben

It is the forum that I look at on a daily basis, only to see if I have had a similar situation and could help.

'Snarky" does not seem to be a characteristic that comes with a ShopSmith.

Agreed. What I see is a willingness to help and lend experience. Great. And like Mr. Penny, I get to add my 2cents worth from time to time;)
