If you have your Shopsmith apron that comes with a new Shopsmith, you could just make a pattern from that.

I understand what you are saying but if the Shopsmith apron is worthy of being copied, why not just use it?

I don't use mine because of the way it hangs on my neck. It is uncomfortable. The Duluth apron, featured in this thread, looks like something I could use and be comfortable.

I was thinking of getting this Shopsmith Apron

But while I know that Shopsmith gear is premium quality and priced accordingly, the $9999.99 price tag is making me think twice.

You 'just had to' get back on that track.

Would it not be a fairly simple matter (for a seamer(male seamstress:D), to cut the neck strap and attach longer strap for attachment across the back and to the sides?

P.S. That price is why it is on 'back' order!
