Just curious if anyone can identify this part on E-Bay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ShopSmith-Part-/221359474124?pt=Power_Tools&hash=item338a0d85cc
I assume it's from a 10ER based on the knob but I can't place the specific part...

Ah, thanks - that explains it as I've never seen a 10ER jointer.

Want one? Like I said, the Mkv 500 one is better, and I've got both. (Oh, it's just the jointer/shaper fence.)dgale wrote:Ah, thanks - that explains it as I've never seen a 10ER jointer.
The ER fence mounts in the hole for the table saw insert, the MkV 500 one mounts on the front and back of the table. Also, the infeed is micro-adjustable. the ER is trial and error.

No…I have a MV jointer…just was curious what the part was as I hadn't seen one before and couldn't place it.

The thing I'm talking about, is a 3 inch jointer head, that mounts on the quill, with the Shopsmith in drill-press mode. The fence, would do the same as the infeed or outfeed tables on a real jointer. You can also set the fence up in line, for shaping the edge of a piece of wood, when you're just removing part of the thickness.
You can also set it up in normal (horizontal) mode, with the table tipped 90 degrees, and use the fence as the infeed/outfeed table. It will also work with the 3 inch drum sander.
