being too lazy to change blades is sometimes a bonus.;)

WOW! I'm singin' the praises of one of my bandsaw blades for all kinds of sawing. Lately, I used a 3/16" premium blade for resawing up to 3 inch wide walnut boards. Very straight, extremely smooth resaw cut. No sanding needed!!!:D :D At first I didn't believe what I was looking at - so tried it again. Same beautiful cut. Today I had to make a 15 degree resaw through a 12" long piece of poplar. Did it on two pieces. Only needed minimal sanding.

I bought the 3/16 premium blades for sawing out small cars. They needed sharp (less than 1/2") curves and this is the best blade I've found for this purpose. No burning and pretty smooth cuts.

3/16" Combination - 10 TPI Raker Tooth - .025" thick: For general craft cuts in wood, plywood, plastics and soft, non-ferrous metals. 3/8" minimum radius.

Here's the Shopsmith blade I used: 521985 3/16" Combination Blade ... $28.97

And they are great for cutting tight curves in band saw boxes.

If I don't have this one I soon will have. Great to have info like this as a reliable reference. I can get confused trying to pick a blade sometimes.

I'm always amazed, btw, at the quality and versatlity of the small blades. And very happy about the quality of the SS stuff, as usual.
