Asking $2000. Maybe that is what I am doing wrong I need an estate sale. Probably what killed them was the sticker shock !
If that is great working condition I have it all wrong, don't polish, don't clean just stack it up and sell it.

There is a couple like that around Austin also. Priced way to high. They take a look at what a new one would cost and think they can get about 1/3 of a new price for an old one. They will be sitting on Craigslist for a long time.

The reply said that the family set the price with a few hundred dollars "bargaining" room.
Out of their freaking minds...
I'm sure they appreciated that info from you. NOT!
Ever notice if we are going to buy it, asking price is on the high side and if we are selling it the price is low side?
We have friends that are selling a house, priced way above the market. All we can do is watch because they simply won't hear anyone tell them they are out of their minds with the price.
It is their time and energy and if you try to help them they suspect you are trying to con them out of the rightful price. I just watch and chuckle.
Having just gone through selling my parent's things I can relate to grief, frustration, and pricing. Things that they cherished and prized are sometimes difficult to value. The volume and process can be frustrating especially when several heirs/siblings are involved. Things will work out, albeit slowly.

I did not equip with Shopsmiths in spite of the setups but because of them.

.
Maybe that explains the high price. It's an air conditioned unit for the hot summers we have here in Houston !
