Jig Saw Maintenance

Post by kaynyne »

I have an SS SPT jig saw. I didn't get a manual with it. My question is this: where do you add oil? I got the schematics from SS with the parts list, but nothing explains where to fill it. I would appreciate a pic of where to add oil. Thanks.

Remove the aluminum plate surrounding the input shaft. There you will discover a plug. Fill to the bottom of the hole.

Make sure the vent hole is not plugged. Right side, teeny tiny.

Thank you very much. I saw the oil plug on the schematics, but couldn't find it on the jig saw. Thanks again.
