Wow! Excellent Show

Post by charlese »

This afternoon we (wife and I) were entertained for an hour by the Navy's and Marines Blue Angels:D

Straight into the sky, rolling overhead just so much going on couldn't keep track of all of it. 4 in formation, 6 in formation, 2 separating and rolling toward and past each other. Sky bursts - just wow! Especially thrilling when 5 came overhead from in back of us, at a low elevation, (loud) while our eyes were glued on the straight up rolls of the one other one.

Good show!!!!!:D :D :D Man O' Man:D

Impressive isn't it.

I watch a movie on TV today that had probably the best introduction I've seen in 30 years. This is probably won't mean much to anyone who wasn't in school by 1950 but might for those of you who know history:

Chuck, I grew up close enough to Moffett Field, that we could watch most of the annual airshow from the roof of our house. (We had a second story addition, which gave us 12 more feet than the neighbors.)

We went quite a few years, as well. Static displays were quite amazing, as was Hangar One. http://www.theverge.com/2014/2/11/54007 ... -from-nasa

We also lived in the flight path, and saw NUMEROUS C-5 Galaxies, and even a few U2s. Saw P-3 Orions, about every hour, or so. Never got to see any SR-71 Blackbirds, though.

To this day, the sound of aircraft overhead, doesn't bother me.
