I have that same protractor. It is a saw guide for a circular saw. I bought mine in a now defunct mall tool store (similar to Harbor Freight) back in 1985. Great toll for getting it close! Still use mine...

In that Mark 5 auction, what kind of lathe chuck is that (as seen in pictures 6 and 7)?

That listing is in Shreveport which isn't too far from here. I or one of my coworkers go up there for business at least twice a month. I've been wanting a lathe chuck. If his listing doesn't sell, and I wanted to make an offer on just the chuck, is it worth trying to get, and what would be a fair price? What would I need to look out for?

Did you notice it was assembled backwards? So when tilted, the headstock is under the table. And what is that between the miter slot extension and the extension table on the left end? It doesn't quite look like another miter slot extension, but sort of does too.

I'm guessing a Belt sander table.

If I went to Shreveport every month I'd bid (and probably buy it). Don't worry about the details of how much you can get the chuck for. Haul it back to Dallas, or whereever, take off what you want and repost everything else on Craigslist for what you bought it for. Craigslist prices are sky high there so it becomes an easy sell. Everyone is looking at eBay for price comparison which is unrealistic.

I'm in Middle Of Nowhere, Louisiana where nothing sells on Craigslist. I parted out a 510 on eBay once before, and it's not something I care to do again. Although I cleared a couple hundred in cash, the time and effort and hassle involved just isn't worth it.
