Oil and oiler for headstock sheaves

What is the best oiler (with very long and flexible snout) and oil to use on the sheaves? I've read "turbo oil", but I'm not sure what to order. Anyone have a suggestion from an online retailer like amazon?

I was shocked today when I saw how stiff the spring loaded sheave on the motor was, I thought I was keeping it we'll lubed, but it took some wd40 to free it up.

I get mine at Ace Hardware. I've seen it at other hardware stores as well so if you have access to any hardware store I just get it locally and save the cost of shipping. You can also use 3in1 oil, they have a pull out spout thing too. The 3in1 does have a distinctive smell but other then that it works fine.

Here is a zoom-spout oiler from Amazon, containing "turbine-grade" oil. They never seem to give the technical oil specs for these, but this appears to be the right stuff. Search "zoom spout" at Amazon, and there are many brands. Some are marketed as "sewing machine oil".

I almost forgot about the offering from the mother ship. I bought one of these pocket oilers from them a while back, but have yet to try it out. It's about time for a lube .. wonder if I can find the thing now?

3 in 1 also has a long flexible spout available as well.
