I'll bet it helps a lot. I find that a lot of my sawdust, especially from the table saw, goes out the rear. This would help contain it somewhat.

Stayed safe till 7pm last evening, when I blew out mine and neighbour's driveways with my 9hp Ariens...I enjoy using the snow blower......of course, had to redo part this morning. Power stayed on so no worries!:D

I can appreciate the "Down East", its a shared local idiom to Maine and Eastern Canada. Primarily started as a nautical term as ports in Maine and eastern Canada are East of Boston and New York and when sailing to them, the wind is at their back, hence the term "Down East". I've spent several years of my life in "Down East" Maine, loved every minute of it.

That storm looked a good one, missed us.
