I've disagreed with many policies of previous administrations. But, no matter how harmful I felt those policies were, I was never so misguided as to suggest that any previous president was trying to harm the nation. That's crazy talk.

I actually agree somewhat with this. We are watching the culmination of an "agenda" that started actually after WWII. It was highlighted in 1960 when Nikita Khrushchev said "We cannot expect Americans to jump from capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving Americans small doses of socialism until they suddenly awake to find they have Communism." The progressive/communist agenda has been coming for a long time. Right wrong or indifferent, that IMHO is what we are witnessing right now. The progressives feel they are at a point that they can finally assert their philosophy. So, yes, from their age old agenda, they are truly trying to break the system. I think they have succeeded. Sadly, I don't see how we recover.

You may be right when saying this about the Government but you are dead on, direct hit, bulls eye saying this about the Media. If they can stir the pot and destroy something they will.

Library of Congress said, "We have searched the Legislative Reference Service files, checked all the standard reference works on quotations by Khrushchev, and consulted with the Slavic division of the Library of Congress, the Department of State, and the US Information Agency, in an attempt to determine the authenticity of this quotation. From none of these sources were we able to produce evidence that Khrushchev actually made such a statement." This has been "debunked" so many times it becomes fuzzy. LOL

I won't argue with you here, other than to say age has it's benefits. I remember Khrushchev first hand. I see how many freedoms, as a citizen of the US, I have lost over the last 60 years. If he didn't say it (and I believe he did), it sure seems like that is the agenda.

Be careful with revisionist history my friend.

Peace .... :)

I believe it was so stated but I would have attributed it to Carl Marx rather than to Nikita Khrushchev.

Sounds about right. Karl was just the kinda guy to say something like that.

My recollection re Kruschev was "we will bury you" (or something very similar").

Wonder if Putin takes his shoes off when speaking?:D

No. Doesn't sound like Marx either. Well, Groucho maybe.
