Quill feed handle does not extend far enough into quill feed hub
Something happened to my 510 quill feed handle. I was drilling and it got lose. I tried to tighten, but the handle jams with only 1/8" extending into the 5/8" diameter hub cavity. This is not far enough to engage. I was hitting a stop when drilling so more pressure than normal on the handle. Any idea what might have happened and how to fix? I washed both the handle and hub to no effect. I guess the easiest alternative is to purchase a new quill feed handle assembly for $22.47? Thanks, Jim

Are there still threads showing on the handle? Only problem I have had is the handle being bent with threads showning when the headstock was allowed to free fall on the handle side when the headstock was off the tubes. I would be happy to add more threads on the handle if you want to send me the handle. Only cost you postage both ways. I would be interested in the handle if you replace it as I cut the handle shorter and rethread it to use as a joiner handle.
