I wanted to take a peek at what y'all are talking about but the posting on Craigslist is GONE. I had 2 ERs and refurbed both at the same time but unfortunately I could only keep one. If I had room I would have multiples like some of you do. I love my 10ER. I use it mainly as one of my lathes.
Tim.

Rbursek, missed your reply... No need to avoid the subject on my behalf.
Yeah, I'm pretty much sold on the idea but it will take time.
I just saw a video of a Robust lathe recently, some TV show "American woodturner" or something, found it online. He showed the delivery of his new lathe. It was that that got me fired up and wanting to try turning when I got the ss for the drill press and bandsaw. See? porn IS bad for you. Or at least tool porn is bad for your bank account.
And yeah... The ad went away. Were just geeking out about it. All you saw was a pile of boxes mostly hiding an. Er in unclear condition, but it was only $50. Only it went to $75 if he took the boxes off. Not that that made sense.

Makes sense if one is not capable of moving the boxes and has to pay someone else to do so.fitzhugh wrote:Rbursek, missed your reply... No need to avoid the subject on my behalf.

Yeah Tool Porn can be a bad thing.
I've been lusting after this for quite some time though. Seeing this episode only served as a reminder of my lust.

Yup, that's the one I saw. I wasn't familiar with the show.
And yes, he says his stubby finally wore out and was old enough he couldn't get a part, if i recall correctly.
I'm glad you linked that since it reminds me to try the doorstops he makes. Wife needs a doorstop for her office. It will be a nice easy project to stay with once I finish bringing the Shopsmith back to life.
