Upcoming "arn" acquisitions
A guy at worked stopped me on the way out today and asked if I was interested in old woodworking machines. I said "abso-fricking-lutely"! About 4 years ago he was given several old machines and he had hoped to set up a shop around them. But, he hasn't done anything with them and they've just been sitting there and now he'd rather have the room. He wanted to know if I'd take them. I said "abso-fricking-lutely"! (I may type a lot, but verbally I'm a man of few words.) He sent me these pictures he took with his phone way back when he got them.

Table Saw, Jointer, Jig/Scroll Saw, and a... belt driven bench grinder/buffer?
I'm going to go out to his place and pick them up later this week. The only problem is I have no idea where I'm putting it all. But I can't say no!

No chance of me giving up my Shopsmith! I'll probably end up giving them away eventually after playing with them and hanging on to them way too long.

Looking at the pictures of that table saw again, I wonder if the table tilts and raises/lowers and the blade is stationary? Is that a trunion at the front of the saw, under the table, in line with the blade? Here's another picture that appears to show another trunion in the same alignment at the back of the saw:

The motor looks very stationary and that's a pretty narrow opening for the belt. And on the side of the saw, is that a bracket or guide or indicator for the table height? It looks as if it could pivot at the back of the table and the front of the table could lift or lower to adjust depth of cut. And with what looks like trunions under the table at the front and back, it looks like the table could tilt for bevel cuts.

Two crank wheels - height(front?), tilt(side?). Front trunion quadrant has a clamp. I think you are correct re height indicator. I do not think the table moves up/down, but the blade height mechanism has something that extends to the side 'scale?'. Yer gonna have fun with that stuff.
Wonder if it is adjustable to accommodate different blade od.
P.S. wonder about blade shift when tilting? Maybe a wide slot?
