Heath - beautiful job on that - looks really nice! As far as how much to sell them for...always a tough question. Pretty much a balance between what is adequate compensation for your time and materials and what the market will bear. A quick check on Etsy found the following similar items, most of whcih are homemade:

Most (actually virtually all) are not as nice as yours but will give you a sense of what people are asking for the ones they made...of course no real sense of if they are actually selling at those prices but at least an idea of what people are making and what they are asking for them.

Looks like ya should price em around $25.00 to $35.00 range. Might ask her what price she'd buy at?
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

That was the first thing I tried, but it bounced back to me to name a price. I said $30 each.

I think you are being more than fair on that price - my initial instinct was $40-$50 each.

Agreed. Heath, make your $30 offer a "special introductory price". :) That buys you time to determine a fair market price based on customer feedback, manufacturing costs, and competitive pricing.

Very nice looking hangers.

What are you using for a finish?

You have to be careful that the finish or wood doesn't react with the finish on the guitar. If some one hangs their favourite guitar on one of your hangers and it damages the finish they are not going to be happy.

I have been using these String Swing Guitar Hangers for several years and I'm still a bit uneasy about hanging my guitars from them.

Pricing ranges from $4-30. I bought several of these for just a little over four dollars each including shipping. At that price I didn't even consider making one.

With only a slight modification you could make a hanger for many other things. Like a flash for example.

Excellent point about the finish. I hadn't even thought about that. I just rubbed some Watco Danish Oil (natural) on them. Any concerns about that? When my son gets up sometime this afternoon, I'll check the contact points on his guitars and see if I notice anything.

I know older guitars and many newer ones (Gibson) have nitrocellulose lacquer finish. But modern ones I don't know much about. I use clamp on tuners and the instructions say that while they should be safe for all guitar finishes you should not leave them clamped to the guitar just in case.

guitarnutmight be the one to ask about the finish. He builds Guitars. There are a few others here as well that might chime in. You could also search some of the guitar forums where people build guitars. Try these:

I Googled for guitar stand finish damage and guitar hanger finish damage and found lots of discussion on the subject. I had no idea. After reading a few of these I'm a bit concerned about what I'm using. Mine all claimed to be safe for Guitar finishes. I need to look into this because I would like to build a guitar stand. I can't find a commercial one I like.

I made this little end table over the course of a couple weekends. From some unused red oak baseboards I was given by a contractor, and a piece of 18" tile. Got the plans from Wood magazine. I don't usually follow plans, but this was pretty quick and easy.

Nice work!

I liked the flexibility of that design. It's easy to raise or lower the table to accommodate the seating it would be near. There are lots of tile options to change the project.
