Festool
I purchased the new Festool light drill and although pretty expensive found it to be great. Light weight, powerfull and a joy to use. Switches are smooth and easy to select. Those of us octogenarian woodworkers look to tools that take our reduced musile into account. The right angle attachment
is very compact.
Several years ago the lathe duplicator for the mk5 of mine solved the problem of standing for long stretches at the lathe by permiting me to sit at
work and to overcome the grip strain on my hands.
Any tool or technique that extents woodworking into the elder years is welcome.

Never met a Festool tool that wasn't the best in it's class on the market…they truly build amazing tools…just difficult to afford them. I'd love to have one of their shop vac/dust collector systems. Our local hardwood/woodworking supply store is a Festool dealer and they do demos somewhat regularly, so always fun to stop by and marvel and drool.

Very happy to hear from another octogenarian! Sorry to read about your physical challenges. Keep up the good work!
Although I don't yet own a Festool, I might in a couple years!

Octogenarian's have an earned right to be a curmudgeon.

absolutely fabulous
I convinced my wife several years ago to buy the Festool C12 drill for Father's Day. It is expensive but is the best tool in my garage (okay SS lovers, I really like that one too, but I can't take it to the backyard to fix a door).
Beautiful workmanship.

Lucky you! I've been shopping for a new cordless drill, but the festool is sooooo outrageously expensive. If I used it every day I could see it, love their systainer and vacuum systems. And the domino......etcforrestb wrote:I convinced my wife several years ago to buy the Festool C12 drill for Father's Day.
