Just checking to see if all our friends in Arizona are safe from those fires. I didnt' get the locations other than Arizona.

Also, where those tornadoes and hail storms in Denver and other areas, we hope you are safe and well.

This time of year is real bad in Arizona. The fire season is upon us. At this moment, I am not the one to be concerned. Our Shopsmith friends to the north are in more eminent danger of being effected by these seasonal fires.

The current threat is in the Sedona - Prescott area - Phoenix area.

One of my son-in-laws is the Fire Chief in Sonoita - south and east of here. His entire daily schedule, for the next two to four months is dictated by the fire conditions. Come July and August, we don't even expect to see him.

Thanks for asking.

Speaking of dangerous conditions, I hope you are OKAY there in the Denver area Jim.

PS I just now, this moment, learned that there is a four hundred acre fire threatening homes in the Elgin area - next door to the SILs territory. He is most likely in support as I write.

Dusty, you and your SIL need to keep your heads down, and keep the grass wet, if you can! Here in an apartment complex, at Southern and Alma School, we should be OK. (HOPEFULLY!

I couldn't handle a second fire in 2 years!

(But, if it happens, one of the maint guys is a friend of mine, and saved my DC conversion ER, at the last fire.) A few years before that fire, I moved from a cinder-block apartment (one of 4) and into a trailer, the largest on the property. Te guy that moved into that apartment, is the guy in "the rest of the story."

The guy in my old apartment, works as a part-time maint guy where I'm at now, and saved that ER for me. (Wish he had saved the rest of my stuff, but I did rescue my Cast Iron cookware. He saved one Cast Iron ER, for me.)

Oh well, Karma has a way of catching up, and it seems the slumlord has recieved some. (As did his hired scavenger.)

The folks in northern Arizona need all of the prayers they can muster. The fires in the Sedona area are taking a serious toll and the windy, dry conditions are not helping.

Pray for the safety of the hotshot crews and for their loved ones.

Just got back from a 10 day trip and am in the midst of catching up.
While we are in N. AZ, the fire(s) around Sedona are well west and north of us. We are safe. Not much in the way of trees to burn around here, anyway.
We keep our range grass cut low and the Cedar bushes are sparse and short.

Thanks, Heath.
It was great meeting you, too. It's nice to put faces with those we correspond with.
