It seems to me the initiation of one would lead to conflict, "what are you saying I change my mind?" and the use of it after the fact would lead to even more conflict "I don't care what you have written down I told you I wanted it like this. And you never listen to me."

Forget the work request, Ed. Just work a little bit more on "creating harmony in all relationships" even under adverse conditions.:)

After 49 years I have total harmony. It was your work order idea that I saw as a huge breech in the harmony.

OKAY. That makes this whole thing my problem.

Furthermore, I must admit that my wife is not always totally pleased when I ask her to sign or initial the drawings that we have prepared. She is also not always completely satisfied with the finished product even though she initialed drawings.

Have a great and harmonious day, Ed.

It would be great if we could spend a few days together in the same shop; just to test the harmony.:)

[quote="dusty"]I've done the work order thing a time or two. What tickered her off was when I showed it to her and got her approval and then asked her to initial it that real trouble began.

Later, when the project was nearing the end and she said "that's not what we talked about", the work order all paid off.

Now, a word of caution, like has already been suggested - pick your battles. Pick your battles carefully]
Any chance she is a Montana gal?? Mine was (Kalispell). Maybe something in the water?? ;):D

Sorry I have no true valid advise to offer, but my track record shows I'm horrible at that sort of thing!!:o

Be well,
Ben

And to be honest, there are times when carefree sucks.

Well...Maybe. No, actually she is a North Dakota gal...New Salem. She's a real down to earth farm girl.

We spent 3 years in Lakeside (Kalispell Air Force Station).
