Hi,
I've got a project going on that would be much easier if I could get the output shaft from a shopsmith. I would prefer the main shaft out of the quill if I could get it. I'll be passing it on to someone who will use it to test the fit of an adapter.
Only the mounting area need be in good shape and I'm hoping for a junked one that someone would be willing to give me if I pay the postage to send it.
Prefer one from 1973 towards present.
Any one want to lighten there shop?
Ed

You took that right out of my mind!:)skou wrote:Ed, if you were a few decades earlier...
Everything I have is E model.
You're just looking for the spindle? The rotating center part of the quill? Bill Mayo may be your best source.

I looked, but did not find!:(

Still looking.
As added incentive I'll up the value by offering an exchange of a 500 saw arbor (used), the one that fits the shopsmith blades with the larger hole (1-1/4") for the shaft I need. Limited time offer. On Monday I will pull my spare single bearing quill and take it apart to send off.
Ed
Edit:
This offer is no long valid.

Hi,
Getting a little warm for what I'm working on outside so I decided to work inside for a while.
I decided to go and pulling a quill apart and now have just the shaft so I no longer need one. I will ship it out and have the new adapters made then ask for it back. Might as well order new a bearing while I'm at it. It will remain as a back up with a new bearing, all the better.
Thanks for those that at least looked to see if they had one.
