Good eye Beeg. In that same image, note how far out the blade adjustment screw is. Mine is almost all the way in. Now my blades have been sharpened only none or two times so they are near full width.

The blades are at the minimum limit. The adjusting screw height is only relevant to raising the blade. Not with how far the blade is above the cutter head to be flush with the out feed table. Again that distance is the issue I am concerned about. It would make no difference if the blades were 1" wide and the adjusting screws were at there lowest point.
Measure once, cut as many times as needed to get it right! Bob

Yer Goldie is weird! Post a Pix of it.
I am wondering if it's blades are mounted on the wrong side of the cavity. They belong on the short side.
We may need to check SN in case there has been a dimensional change to the head(greenie vs goldie(1)/goldie(2).

I'm confused. If the blade adjustment screws were screwed in and the blade was pushed down onto the screws, would the top of the blade not be "way down".
Are the blades supposedly interchangeable?

Understandably so, but clarification is in order.
Rbursek's pix shows the blade height adjusting screws well off the bottom. Since his blades are narrow,they needed to be that 'high' to make the blade height equal the outfeed table top at the apex of the blade motion.
Of course the screws are relevant to blade height. As well as the height above the cutter head periphery. I think his comment meant the screws were irrelevant to the correct height. He did not mean the screws did not affect the height.
I am not satisfied this has made this any clearer, but I had to try.
Interchangeable with what? I do not know of any compatibility issues with the blades.

If the adjustment screws need to be that far out in order to bring the cutting edge up to the height of the outfeed table, then I believe the blades are too narrow.
Now if cutter heads or blades are vintage dependent, I cannot comment because I have no greenie era experience.
I ask about infeed table height in an attempt to determine why his images appear so much different than mine. No, that is probably not true. I don't recall ever having my infeed table as low as it appears his is and I don't know what it looks like under those circumstances.
I have added all that I can to this discussion. I will now watch in anticipation for the outcome.

Okay,
1st greenie infeed and out feed tables where and still are level with each other in all pics posted in this thread!!!
2nd in my original post to start this thread i stated on my goldie jointer the blades were 6/32 from the cutter head to the heel of the bevel. The 1/16 in a later post was in "error", god, did I say that?
Here are 3 pics of the greenie, the second set of 3 are of the goldie, infeed and out feed tables are at the same height on both. No commenting on the originality of the level JPG, it was my deceased fathers junk. Last of 3 pics of goldie jointer in next post. Maxed out on this one.
