I find that using Google to search forums to be much more productive than using the forums search tool. For example: site:shopsmith.net bandsaw

I was the first to mention "chrome plated Shopsmith" and derailed the Google Chrome discussion. Although I must say the chrome plated ER is a lot more interesting.

It is quit unique but if you had a chrome plated ER would you use it "like any other ER" or would it be enshrined as a trophy?

As for off topic and hard to search.
If you are using the vBulletin Search function yeah absolutely.

I Use Google site search for searching forums sites and get much better results.

[Search Phrase] site:shopsmith.net/forums This restricts Google to only search this forum.

I have just become a fan of Google search whether it be using Chrome or Firefox. Okay. I only just tried a few searches with Firefox, but I use both Chrome and Firefox. The Boolean features are GREAT! Did date range and exclusion searches. I like that I get results for both the archived AND current threads.

This old dog likes the new trick he is learning!!!!:D AND I don't have to be logged in to the site to search!!!!!
