Clamp Cart

This is a clamp cart that I built over 20 years ago. Glad that a wise man (Grandfather) once told me that as long as you have tools you can find work. Never had to go that route but I'm glad I still have most all of my woodworking tools, got a Shop Smith a few months back.

You know, there are days when I'd gladly trade in my desk job for a hands-on job.

I had quite a bit of home landscaping done professionally several years back, and some of the very best work was deck railings done by a young mechanical engineer that had traded in his desk for a woodworking craft. Now mind you, I routinely mutter curses under my breath as I dig up and repair slipshod landscape wiring and irrigation connections from the same landscape contractor.

But as for that railing, I studied it and copied the construction technique for yet more railings that I built with my own hands. The hands-on approach, all in all, I find to have a vastly higher satisfaction-to-frustration ratio.

True, tis easier to vent at someone else's mistakes than thine own.

While the idea of a roll around clamp cart is very appealing, my shortage of floor space requires that I hang my clamps on the wall and from the ceiling.

I don't use clamps daily, so I prefer the clear working space. On the wall for me.
