Testing to see if I can figure out how to attach photos.

Wow! I did it. Now I hope I can remember how I did it. Anyway, this is a picture of my goldie that is starting to get some good usage. I still have a long way to go making useful jigs and fixtures but it's fun and keeps me mostly out of trouble. I still am debating with myself about upgrading this machine vs looking for a reasonably priced newer machine.

Thanks for sharing your photos, John! Beautiful "Goldie"!!! With your extension tables, adjustable collar, and a lower saw guard that I had never seen before, it looks like you are ready to go. Nice shop, with everything you need, handy.

How did you come by the lower saw guard with two dust collection holes? Also, can you tell us a little about your push block with the pivoting handle?

Nothing like viewing such beautiful pictures, then asking questions about them.

Thanks for the comments. The table system has helped alot with dealing with the smaller size work table. I mounted a lift-off table between the headstock and the left aux table (smaller original one) since I can do nearly all of my sawing in one position. When I need to change headstock positions I just lift it off and set it aside. The outfeed table is my first edition with changes to come. I attached it to the back side of the main table with some brackets I made that allowed clearance for the rip fence. It is actually mounted onto the outfeed roller stand with a pivot block. When I change blade heighth, I just pop off a couple of t-handle nuts under the table, lift it up, move it aside, make my changes and then re-install and level it. A little clumsy, but it works for now. Today I fixed it so I can mount the upper saw guard when using the table.

Charlese: The dual port lower saw guard is a Model 500 upgrade part # 505875 (Clear saw guard system upgrade). It works pretty good.

If you are referring to the wooden push block on the work table, it doesn't have a pivoting handle. I just made it from a plan in an old copy of PTWFE.
