What is this ? Looks like a cross between a small arm saw and miter saw, but has no cutting slot past a typical miter saw.

I think you are correct, it is a radial arm miter saw. I assume it pulls straight out(at += 45 degrees).

The blade will have clearance when beyond the 'round rotating platform' that the 'slot' provides when on it.

Looks like it tilts left also.

I wish it was closer, I'd have a look. I wonder if it is height adjustable ?
