I went to Buckies sites, one showes ho to install, but no holes there for the mounting screw, Whats up, or do I have to make my own, JPG???

Since 'older' belt covers do not have holes for this, of course you make them;). IIWM, I would not use a screw and nut etc. I would use sheet metal screws. That way on/off can be done without removing the belt cover. A better way is to insert threaded pop rivet(s) in the belt cover.

I doubt I will ever see one myself.

It is not a matter of 'manhood'. It is a matter of degree of risk. I just do not perceive that there is much risk there.

But then I do not wear hoodies with strings nor floppy sleeves in the shop either. I also keep my body parts away from moving machinery parts.

Relatively smooth rotating parts do not present much of a hazard by inadvertent touching.

No I do not advise testing that by grabbing hold of one.

No question that covered(hooded shafts) is 'safer'. I merely question the need.

FWIW I think the hubs do lessen the potential for injury compared to the bare shafts. I have always had the hubs attached.
