23rd Wedding Anniversary Gift

Post by moggymatt »

Last week was the 23rd anniversary of being married to my lovely wife. I got her some Opal set in silver jewelry, she got me the Incra I-Box jig I wanted but figured I could live without. We might have each other figured out:D . It came really quick, I watched the dvd a couple of times and worked with it a little tonight. Awesome tool. It's going to be very useful for all the small to medium sized boxes I like to make.

Very nice! Sounds as if a jewelry box might make for a fine project. ;)

Congratulations!
You're gonna love the I box. I'm sure the wife loves the jewelry, too.
For our 40th, my wife got me a router. I had to buy my own I Box.

Thanks for the congrats all. What is a good recommendation for a new dado blade? All the ones I've managed to acquire don't leave the best bottom.

Infinity Dadonator will give you a dead flat bottom.

Depending on your motor's horsepower, and the thickest materials you might use in the IBox, consider getting an 8" dado set, instead of a 6". The IBox uses 1/2" of your dado set's capacity. I have a Forrest dado set, and it cuts a nice, flat bottom with tiny bat ears in the corners.
