An Addendum to Heads Up - Bargain 'available' Thread

Post by dusty »

Before this thread grows too terribly large, I feel compelled to make this comment. Since I did not initiate this thread, my thoughts may not be consistent with those of the originator. If I am in 'left field', for that I apologize. These are still my thoughts.

The INTENT of the thread is already being abused. The thread was initiated so as to provide a single place where we could alert the rest of the forum to a Bargain Deal that we had discovered on Craigs List.

Some of the posts do just that but read all of them and you will find that several are random, loosely connected thoughts at best and are not alerting the readership of "This Great Bargain Offer I Want to Share".

Sorry guys, but this is the way I feel.

I'm done for the day. I need to clean the shop.:rolleyes:

Dusty, correct me if I'm wrong but I thought this new sticky was created so folks just like you would not have to venture into a thread that was cluttered up with links to sites offering possible great deals on used Shopsmith equipment of which you have stated you have no interest in reading and felt they had no place in the forum. Knowing that, why have you ventured into it anyway and have found something already that doesn't please you within it. Just asking :)

I did not go there to see what was available on CL. I went there to see if what I suspected was going to happen did in fact happen and IT DID. The thread will very soon become cluttered with loosely connected thoughts and while it will contain reference to CL offerings it will contain a lot of "other stuff".

You asked, Fred.:):) Have a good day.

Now I am done.

So, shall we create another sticky for Other Stuff :p

I have to agree with Fred. Why would you click on something that you have no interest in, and then complain about it? ???

I already answered that question, Joe, in my response to Fred and I was not complaining. I was simply stating my observation.

I have removed my off topic post from the CL thread. I thought I was answering someone else's post but my post was not a deal on craigslist. I'm new around here (not to forums) and am sorry if I offended anyone with my comment about Ebay's money back guarantee. I will lurk more and try to pick up on posting etiquette for this site before posting again.:o
