Table tilt lock problem

I have the upgraded table system. I am the second owner not sure when this was installed. My problem is the table tilt locks will not hold the trunnions securely. This is especially a problem when I have the table extensions installed. Is there a way to adjust the table locks so they will exert more pressure on the trunnions?

The table tilt locks are essentially "friction brakes". Make certain that the locking surfaces are clean and that they have not been waxed (accidentally or otherwise). Sawdust between those mating surfaces seems to be the major cause of my locking problems. Beyond that there is very little that can be done.

I do not rely on the table tilt locks.

The first link ending in 36002 takes me to a page that doesn't exist. The second link did take me to a discussion which did not reach a conclusion that seems useful.

The first link initially went to the post forrestb was alluding to.

The second is the actual thread. As usual there are no concrete, absolute solutions.(no magic bullets). However these 'discussions' do lead to further understanding.
