Nothing wrong with showing a can of WD-40! It's silicone that'll draw the fire! (with some)
Also noticed some duct tape on the end of a dust collector hose. I used to do this too, until I discovered the ends will screw onto the hose. Now got rid of the duct tape and have a shorter hose by a few inches. Maybe you knew this before, but all you have to do is cut off the hose as square as you can, nip off the wire and screw on the hose end. Simple, and it works.

So what is wrong with wd-40? i use it all the time. even when i get vapor lock on the old truck i had,just spray in the carb and wala it would run again. So again what is so wrong with wd-40. We had a buffer machine,also called a roto, that every one hated to use because the roto brush would stick on and they had to use a hammer and a board and bang it to get it loose. i sprayed wd-40 on the rotating nut an wala it came loose real easy. every one,a total of 10 people thought i was a very smart man because now we can use the roto without trouble at the end.They used to leave the brush on the machine and try to find a different one to use with a stripper pad.
John, I have an original manual for the air compressor, I could make you a copy of it if you did not get one with your Mark V. I hope to get my greenie looking as good as you did your machine. You did a great job.

Here are some update pics of the progress so far on my $ 100.00 special. There still is work to do on the main table. I got the Magna belt sander and compressor working now. Next will be the jig saw and jointer. (The jointer may be a basket case, but I already have good working Magna jointer for the other Mk 5).
This is before starting. Everything was really gummed up from sitting and had a lot of external rust.
