10ER Lower saw guard....

I keep hearing about dust collection and the lower saw guard for Ciannait (My 10ER) Is there such a thing? I have looked and I don't think it would be too hard to make one. Just curious. Any pictures? I can't seem to find a pic anywhere ....

One just sold the other day... I guessed it would go for around $150, it was close.

Well, isn't that something! I have searched and searched ebay and that is the first one I have seen. Pretty pricey. I have an idea about making one with DC. I will work on it!

144 bucks? That's a lot of cash.

One of my 10ER came with a saw guard (or disk sander guard?) but looked like a Mark 5 adaptation.

I wonder when they started making it as the original manual says there is none and would be too cumbersome or something similar to that effect.

"CAUTION Because it is not practical to completely guard that portion of the saw underneath the table, the user is cautioned not to make adjustments while the saw is in motion."

Ah but grand poopah, lower guard is good for dust collection with place for hose ....

I don't suppose you noticed the 'shape' of the 'hose' connection.

More of a saw dust concentrator/deflecter than a vacuum connection.

An early Mark 5 lower guard MAY work on a 10E/R with some modification. I have not tried it.
