Advice on what to look for in used free standing SS Scroll Saw

I've found a "little used" 1989 free standing SS Scroll Saw for 1/3 the new price but am unsure of how to evalute its condition other than to turn it on and see if it runs. Suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks to all who reply. Looking at it tomorrow.

I do not have a free standing model, but this is what I would look for.

Does it appear to be well kept up? Rust sawdust etc..

Does the speed control seem to operate correctly?

Does it knock when running(not from the blade being mounted 'too long', but from slop at the rear).

Does it have the upgraded blade holders and tension rod knob(old) vs clamp(new). If so, it will also have a transparent blade cover.

Is is gray(old) or 'teal'*(new).

* Where do women come up with these weird color names?

I googled it. 'They' got it from a duck!
