What would you gentlemen think a fair asking price for the jointer, jointer headrest and large pulley would be? Or is that something you don't speculate on? I live in Chesapeake VA and would probably prefer to either deliver it or have someone pick it up from me. I would want to trade out a standard headrest from the buyer for obvious reasons. Is there a better section of this site to post this on?

Here is some info, but the price was somewhat of a fluke. A friend and I just yesterday, picked up a complete ER, with jointer and speedchanger, for $150.
If I had to guess a price, I'd say $250 for all you're selling, if not more.
Now, headstocks. Standard? There are 5 different models of headstocks, counting your jointer model. Cast iron or aluminum, 2 bolt holes or 4, and the jointer model. (Really, any of the others will work just fine, I'm just playing around.)

Well well its been some time since I stripped all the paint off and removed 60 years of grease and oil buildup. I finally had some time on the weekend to start painting it. I still cant decide if I'm going to paint everything black and polish all the chrome, aluminum and brass fittings so they stand out on the black background or if i will paint the headstock silver so it has a nice contrast.
I dismantled the motor and blew all of the dust out then replaced the bearings, assembled again. It ran without smoking but still a bit rough. Then dismantled it again ready to be cleaned up and painted; after painting and polishing all the brass screws and nuts and assembly I plugged it in again. After a short run....smoke...
will have to invest in a new one or get this one repaired.
I haven't even come close to finishing this one and i have already picked up a second machine that is in working order SN1200. It has been used until earlier this year when the previous owner passed away, from the info i was given it has been owned by the same family since new. Its in fairly good condition, the bearings are a bit noisy and the spindle has a bit of damage from attachments not being tightened up properly.
This machine has the speed changer attached, there is also several arbors and spur drives, even a dado blade. There is also an attachment that i think is a mortise attachment....i think. Not too sure what parts are missing tho.

An interesting machine. At 1200 it is obviously a very early one. It appears the speed changer is the '8' speed one. A word of caution: avoid prolonged running above '5'. The later ones altered the center pulley sheave to restrict the range. There is some 'ER' stuff in there(miter gauge and rip fence), so the PO believed in 'improving' it over the years.
As for the model 4 jointer and headrest like skou I wish you were closer. IIWM, I would absolutely keep it! But then I tend to be a 'collector' with full intentions of using it all. I have wished to have many of these tools and dealt with work arounds for a half century with mixed results. I am looking forward to not having to 'work around' so much.
