Lithophanes

Post by curiousgeorge »

For those of you curious about the lithos. Here are some pics of some I carved. The family is Granddaughter and family and the other is a friends high school picture. These pictures do not do justice to the actual impact of the lithos but will give an idea what they are. I made the light box using an unfinished jewelry box and a picture frame from a hobby shop. I used led lights in the box for the back lighting.

This is just one way the CarveWright can be used to make a little money. I have sold a few of these and they are not cheap.

The price of the new technologies is what amaze's me, inexpensive by comparison. Some nice looking projects there. This tool is for someone who is much more clever that I will ever be.

My son in law has one of these. He has had it for 2 or 3 years and had a few problems with it at first but the company was great to work with he said. He has made a lot of different things and sold them. He has made boards that guys mount there turkey tail and spurs on and that got him a lot of orders. He has made hundreds of lawn wirlygigs that spin in the wind for the yard. I was amazed at what a great job they do
