Freud SD606 6-Inch Dial-A-Width Dado- user experiences?

Post by poihths »

I'm really interested in this unit because it can be set for width, it would seem, very easily and very precisely.

If anybody here has experience with this on the Shopsmith, I would very much appreciate hearing about it.

By the way, if you can't find it on the Freud website, neither can the Freud rep I heard from, but he assures me they do still make it.

I have a Freud 8 inch version which I have used for years and love it. For most operations I use a router but occasionally a dado blade is needed.

Mason,

Do you use the Dial-A-Width on the SS. I have one and recall it being too wide for the dado adaptor. I had to buy a standard stack dado.
