Who is Online

Post by dusty »

On the Home Page, in the section labeled WHO IS ONLINE there is a listing of Registered users. The list includes, in addition to members, Bing [Bot], Google [Bot] and Yahoo [Bot]. Is there a way for me to eliminate the Bots from my screen? As far as I am concerned, these are of no value to me and are more of a nuisance than anything else. I refer to the list of currently online users frequently.

It seem,s to depend upon where you are in the menu structure. Apparently the bots only show up from the main screen.

Correct assumption. I had not noticed the 'WHO IS ONLINE' anywhere other than at the Main Page.

The bots are from the various search engines retrieving pages from the forum so the information will be available at Google, Bing, etc. for searches. They will seem to come and go as they retrieve various chunks of the forum information at various times.
