motor wiring

so I inherited a mark V and did a half way cleaning to start with and it worked fine for a disc sander. used it for a lathe for 2 minutes and the on/off switch stopped working. so I figured I better change all the wiring in the motor. looked liked it hadn't seen a clean day since it rolled of the line. soldered all the connections in the motor. took pictures of everything while I took it apart. put the cover back on the motor and lo and behold the bolts for the cover were attached to the bottom with recessed nuts inaccessible to my fingers. How do I get the cover back on?

Remove the pulley. Do check out the method in the saw dust session.

However if the screw holes are correctly aligned, you may be able to nudge the nuts into the hex shaped hole around the screw hole using a thin 'pusher'.

Pulling the fan sheave away from the motor will give you additional clearance. Make sure to put the sheave back.

thank you. that helped. I didn't see the allen wrench lock on the bottom sheave until then.

Make sure you retighten that set screw VERY securely!!!!!
