I have a gremlin of my own to report.

I have the image that rcplaneguy seems to be missing

but I responded earlier to this post and it is not here now.

Mark's comment was:

I am guessing and I said this in the missing post that this is one of 16 "face frames".

I hate when this happens. Funny thing is the front bags has always fill up first so that is the one I keep a check on. Recently I added a port and blast gate to this collector so I must have changed the dynamics.

I hated even more when I discovered these nails (16 total) in the glue ups I was planing. See all the grooves. The knives are shot.

These are the tools I need to change the knives on my Tersa cutterhead. The allen wrench is to remove the homemade guard over the mortise head made by my alter ego mbmetalworker.

You just tap the jibs down with the block and mallet.

The knives slide right out. They are double sided so they can be flipped over. Unfortunately these have already been flipped.

This is a close up of the profile. It takes less than 2 minuets to change these out. Centrifugal force resets the jibs when the unit is power back on.

WOW. Yesterday I lost 6 hours of my life that I'll never get back changing the blades(new set) in my Shopsmith planer. I used Nick's video (over and over). Finally got them within 4 thousands +- I could not get/use his 132/1000 spacing with a new set. With the blades completely set in the head, I was already above that.

So they are now in and today I'll try it out.
