I think this instruction is talking of something different. It seems to be oriented toward weed control where the author of this post suggested the practice was done to increase harvest.
Either purpose it does seem like there is a more than reasonable chance of ingesting roundup when eating wheat. No wonder I have this greenish glow at night.
