Thanks.

I think that's what it was. The reason being that there was no indication that the file HAD uploaded successfully! So it's natural to try it again.

We are planning to add the tool review once we decide how to better organize it, the one that was up did not receive any actual "tool reviews"
after several posts. There will also be other forums added as we get more activity and see what the popular discussions/threads are.

Desktop icon opens minimized

Post by jgrounds »

Admin,

I have a SS icon set up as a desktop shotcut to the forum. My problem is that it opens a minimized window so I need to click on the maximize button each time I enter the forum. Not a big problem but a pain.

Any ideas on how to correct this on my end? I am using IE.

Thanks.

Is it the icon that you had to download from our site (personalized owner page), or an icon that you saved from your browser?

I am using the icon downloaded from the personalized owner page. I made a shortcut that goes to the forum then changed the icon to the one that is in c:\program files\shopsmith\ssi5.ico

I've ran into this before with other icons, it's something to do with windows - what I have done is after you double click the icon instead of maximizing select one of the edges of the bar and try to drag it open. After closing it, it should re-open the size that you left it.

Dave.

Do you want a review of the Lift Assist? Best thing since sliced bread, IMHO. :D

Quick lift

Post by bpilot24 »

Yes please tell us about the quick lift. I have seen it in the catalog several times but haven't sent for it yet
I was reminded of the need last week when my 87 year old arms had trouble lifting the machine to cut tenons.
