Model 10e

Post by billmayo »

As much as someone will pay. I normally buy them for $20-$100 if no speed changer, joiner or jigsaw. If no metal ends and/or retractable casters, then $50 is the most I will pay for an average run-of-the mill 10E/10ER. For a totally restored one with all accessories and new paint, then $200-$300 is not bad. They make an excellant drill press and a cheap way to start doing some wood working. All 10E/10ER parts can be replaced/repaired/rebuild and they last forever if you take care of the rust and corrosion.

"...they last forever..."

And, with a little encouragement, they will clone new, improved copies of themselves. We use about two dozen 10E's in the manufacture of Shopsmith Mark Vs.

With all good wishes,

I just picked up 10ER with jigsaw but w/o coupling or blades. Are couplings available from SS and what type blades should I be looking for?

I paid $100.00 with jigsaw-runs pretty good. It's a lot heavier than my
56' MK 500.

I am the proud new owner on a 10E. I'd like to replace the motor. What would you suggest. Where do you suggest I look for one. Thanks in advance for your help. Chas
