Curious George, I'm curious, what size rubber bands did you use? I looked at what is called for, 40mm and 100mm but the conversion doesn't come out to any standard size that I can find. Also, what thickness were they. Thanks for your help I have all the small interior parts cut out and ready to assemble. While I'm bothering you what size screws did you use?

I don't remember the sizes for the rubber bands I used. I do know that I couldn't find the exact or near sizes called for so in a couple of instances I just tied some bands together to make them work. All I can say is experiment with what you can find that is close and, if need be, tie some together.

Thanks, picking up the screws, paint/stain and rubber band today and will hopefully fine tune and put the gears together before the weekend is over. I HOPE!

George, Does CarveWright have the ability to save in a standard CAD format such as DXF? I'm thinking of giving this a go and before I take the time to turn it into CAD drawings I thought I'd ask.

Just took a look at all the other rubber band models he has. I think I'm gonna be having some fun.

CarveWright only saves in it's own formats of .mpc, .mpw and .ptn file formats. There is, however, an add-on to the software to import DXF files and another to import STL files.

How many rubber bands can you load at one time? The sprocket has four arms but I thought I heard or saw somewhere that is shot 8.m If so do you just double them up?

The gun will only shoot 4 bands one at a time. Yours is looking good. I can't wait to see the finished product.
