Incra TSIII with Wonder Fence

Post by bigted »

Is anyone using the Incra TSIII with the Wonder Fence? I have just purchased the Power Pro Upgrade and now considering the double tilt upgrade to use with my TSIII, purchase the Wonder Fence, ILO of the Woodhaven router table. Would be interested in hearing from anyone with the TSIII with the Incra Wonder Fence!
Thanks,
Ted

Hi Ted,
I am using the INCRA TS LS which SS sells and like its precision. Am I correct in presuming that the TSIII is the predecessor?
I do wonder, why do you think you need the double tilt to use it with the Wonder Fence?

I just received the Wonder Fence for Christmas so have yet to install it, however, I am anxious to see how well it works making joints.

I bought an INCRA router table which needs to be modified to fit between the main and aux table with an extension table holding the LS bracket to the right. It could be adapted to fit outboard of the legs ala SS version, however I was trying to keep the footprint narrower.

The goal is to eliminate my Bosch router table and use the INCRA set up for all things routed.

The Woodhaven table saves a great deal of work trying to make pieces fit. However, I am not fond of the Woodhaven router plate insert collars. That is a bias from many years ago, so take it with a grain or two of salt.

If you use the Woodhaven table With the positioner, I would think it would need to be on the left rather than the right (as pictured in the SS site) since you will need to use an extension table for the TSIII attachment plate or have a large wing out to your right.

So, no I do not have experience with the system as you describe it, but plan to have lots of fun using something similar in the near future! :D

Be well,
Ben

Here is a link showing some great mods, including one related to getting the older style incra setup adapted to the 510

Ben,
I am thinking of getting the double tilt so that I can eliminate the Woodhaven table setup and rout from under the main table using the Power Pro. I am presently using a home made (Shopnotes) router fence attached to my Shopsmith fence. Works OK but I thought that the Wonderfence would give me more accuracy and flexibility, although a bit more expensive!
Thanks for your input!

There are certainly some creative people on this forum! I would not have thought of or considered attaching a router to a fence! very interesting!
Thanks for your input and link!

Ah! Routing is significantly easier when coming up through the table. So if I understand correctly, you want to use the PowerPro head as the router motor?? Though I am still at a loss as to how you would mount the Woodhaven table  Since it attaches to the rails either side of the main table, how would you align the Woodhaven table center plate to the PP quill? In vertical position, the Woodhaven table would be out past the headstock entirely.
I'm not trying to burst your bubble. In fact I enjoy making new uses out of the SS, but not certain how you can make this work, though I am often wrong on days that end in "Y"!

Sorry! :o If I had taken to the time to "carefully " read what you had written, I would have not written the Woodhaven rebuttal! Refer to me being wrong on days that end in "Y"!
I think your idea is a good one!

Again, I am sorry for input while my foot was firmly planted in my mouth and my head firmly up my ass.

It will be interesting to see the setup.

Be well,
Ben
